Welcome to Beoflow. This Cookie Policy explains how Beoflow B.V. ("we", "us", "our") uses cookies and similar technologies on our website beoflow.com and the Beoflow web application. On pages that use non-essential cookies, you will be asked for your consent via our cookie consent banner before any of them are set.
Cookies are small text files that are placed on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work more efficiently, to provide a better user experience, and to provide information to the owners of the site.
This policy also covers similar technologies — in particular localStorage, which stores information in your browser in the same way a cookie does but is not sent to a server with every request. Where we use it, we say so.
Beoflow uses cookies for the following purposes:
These cookies are necessary for the website to function and cannot be switched off. They are usually set in response to actions made by you, such as logging in, setting your privacy preferences, filling in forms, or signing up for our free coach course.
| Cookie | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
beoflow_cookie_consent |
Stores your cookie consent preferences | Persistent (localStorage) |
beoflow_course_access |
Grants access to the free coach course after you sign up for it. Contains no personal data — it is a random, signed value that proves a course signup was completed. HttpOnly, Secure, SameSite=Lax. |
12 months |
beoflow-course-read, beoflow-course-page, beoflow-course-open |
Remember which course lessons you have read and where you left off, so you can resume across several sittings | Persistent (localStorage) |
beoflow-course-email |
Remembers the email address you gave at course signup, so a later course completion can be matched to your signup | Persistent (localStorage) |
| Cloudflare Turnstile | Protects our forms against automated abuse | Session |
| Session cookies | Maintain your login state and security | Session |
Legal basis: Legitimate interest (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)). These are strictly necessary for the operation of the website and for delivering a service you have asked for.
We measure how our pages are used with PostHog, which we host ourselves on our own infrastructure at posthog.beoflow.com. This data is not shared with any advertising network and does not leave our systems.
Our analytics set no cookies at all. They store a single value in your browser:
| Item | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
beoflow-course-did |
A randomly generated identifier used to count unique visitors, so that several page views by one person are not counted as several people. It is not derived from your name, email address, or any other information about you, and we cannot use it to identify you. | Persistent (localStorage) |
We deliberately limit what this collects:
Legal basis: Legitimate interest (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)). This is first-party measurement of our own website, carried out without cookies and without profiling you.
These cookies are used to track visitors across websites and to display advertisements that are relevant and engaging. They are only placed with your explicit consent.
| Cookie | Provider | Purpose | Duration |

Meta (Facebook) | Stores click identifiers from Facebook ads | 90 days |

Meta (Facebook) | Used by Facebook to deliver advertising | 90 days |
Legal basis: Consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)). These cookies are only set after you have given explicit consent via our cookie banner.
On any page that uses non-essential cookies, a consent banner appears at the bottom of the page before those cookies are set. You have three options, and each one does something different:
Marketing cookies are the only thing the banner controls, so the second and third buttons lead to the same result. Our own analytics, described above, set no cookies and are not switched off by any of these options — see below if you wish to object to them.
On our homepage and support pages a Manage option is also available, which lets you set the same choices by category.
Your choice is remembered across the whole site: if you answer the banner on one page, you will not be asked again on another, and marketing cookies will be withheld everywhere until you change your mind.
Pages that use no non-essential cookies — such as this policy, our terms, and our blog — do not display a banner, because there is nothing on them to consent to.
You can change your cookie preferences at any time by clicking "Cookie settings" in the footer of any page that uses non-essential cookies. This re-opens the consent banner so you can update your choices. On pages that use none, the same link brings you to this policy.
If you withdraw consent, no further marketing cookies will be set and the advertising pixel will not be loaded on any page you visit afterwards. Cookies already stored on your device are not deleted by this action — use your browser settings, described below, to remove them.
You can also control cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to refuse or delete cookies. Please note that blocking essential cookies may affect the functionality of the website.
We use Meta Pixel (Facebook) for marketing purposes. When you consent to marketing cookies, Meta may place cookies on your device to measure the effectiveness of advertising campaigns and to deliver personalised content. Meta processes this data in accordance with its own privacy policy. We encourage you to review Meta's privacy policy for more information.
Meta Pixel is the only third-party tracker on our website. Our analytics are self-hosted and first-party, as described above, and our course delivery and contact forms use service providers that process data on our instructions and do not set cookies in your browser.
Some third-party cookie providers, including Meta, may transfer data outside the European Economic Area (EEA). Where this occurs, appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses are in place to protect your data.
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal, regulatory, or operational reasons. We will notify you of material changes by updating the date at the top of this page.
